Mr. Weisel represents employees in a wide variety of employment law matters, including discrimination and retaliation cases brought under both federal and state law. He litigates on behalf of employees at the trial court and appellate level. He takes great pride in producing high quality and persuasive briefs for all of his clients.
Mr. Weisel’s skills as an advocate have been greatly developed through his two years as a court attorney in the Manhattan Family Court in New York, New York and as a federal law clerk to Judge Arthur J. Tarnow in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. As a law clerk to Judge Tarnow, he worked on a broad array of criminal and civil matters, including employment law cases. He gained invaluable insight into the judicial decision-making process from his experiences with the courts, tremendously enhancing his ability to effectively represent his clients. Prior to Mr. Weisel’s work with the judiciary, he served as an attorney for the New York City Department of Social Services. He also spent two years during law school as a legal intern with the Innocence Project, working on post-conviction cases involving inmates who sought to obtain DNA evidence to prove their innocence.
Mr. Weisel joined Sterling Attorneys after the completion of his federal clerkship with Judge Tarnow in 2011.
